Nehemiah 1:9 “… though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name”
Through your financial giving, we are able to support the ongoing work of Shavei Israel. Bnei Menashe (sons of Manasseh) are descendants from one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, who were sent into exile by the Assyrian empire more than 27 centuries ago. Their ancestors wandered through Central Asia and the Far East for centuries before settling in what is now north-eastern India, along the border with Burma and Bangladesh. Today we can help in their return to Israel.
Michael Freund, Chairman of Shavei Israel, rejoiced with 53 of this ancient tribe when they arrived in Israel on December 24, 2012. He writes:
“It was a long and tiring journey but extremely moving. The Bnei Menashe shed many tears of joy – and so did I! We plan to bring more Bnei Menashe back home. I just want to say thank you for your prayers and support. I hope we will continue to partner together – Jews and Christians alike – in the unfolding of the Divine plan and the return of the people of Israel to their ancestral homeland.”
Your gifts of prayer and finance are greatly appreciated and are both vital to continue the work of aliyah.
